The Virgin Valley Water District administrative offices at 500 Riverside Road in Mesquite, Nevada will be building an additional wing and remodeling the current headquarters building. A temporary mobile unit will be placed at the front of the building while construction is under way.
Local contractor, Trade West Construction, has been contracted to do the construction of a new building and the remodeling of the current building. Construction is scheduled to begin February 17, 2020, starting with footing and floor excavation for new building. The temporary office is scheduled to arrive February 18, 2020. THE DISTRICT WILL BE CLOSED FEBRUARY 28, 2020 to move into the temporary building. Construction is scheduled to last 120 days.
Public parking will be minimal with only the furthest southern entrance being open. There will not be a public restroom available during construction. Board meetings will be scheduled to be held at Mesquite City Hall and the Bunkerville Town Hall buildings during the construction period. Place of meeting will be posted on the agenda for any said meeting(s).
