CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

 

The Virgin Valley Water District is now accepting applications for a full-time employee for a Customer Service Representative position.  Under the direction of the Customer Service Supervisor, duties include answering telephones, greeting customers in a well-mannered and polite way, collection and entering of payments, issuing work orders for customer service, responsible for the District’s cash drawer and various other office duties.

 

At the time of employment, applicants should be 18 years of age, possess a valid Driver’s License and be a high school graduate or have an equivalent GED.  Applicants must have the ability to use a personal computer along with software such as e-mail, word processing and data entry in utility billing program; must be able to type 40 words per minute and have basic math skills; ability to operate basic office machines; ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time; ability to work in an environment with multiple interruptions while accomplishing tasks; and must be able to deal with pressure, stay calm and appropriately and professionally deal with customer complaints and problems.  Speaking and writing Spanish would be considered an advantage.

 

Starting wage for this position is $20.88/hr. and tops out at $26.33/hr.  There is a 40 hour work week with very minimal overtime.  A generous benefits package is part of this position.
